Charlotte Angas Scott was born on 8 June 1858 in Lincoln, England. Charlotte Angas Scott studied at Cambridge but was not allowed to take her degree. After graduate work at Cambridge she became the first Head of Mathematics at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania USA. Charlotte Angas Scott died on 10 November 1931 in Cambridge, England.
