Edmond Halley was born on 8 November 1656 in Haggerston, Shoreditch (near London), England. Edmond Halley was an English astronomer who calculated the orbit of the comet now called Halley’s comet. He was a supporter of Newton. Edmond Halley died on 14 January 1742 in Greenwich (near London), England.
