Gregorio Ricci-Curbastro was born on 12 January 1853 in Lugo, Papal States (now Italy). Gregorio Ricci-Curbastro was an Italian mathematician best known for the invention of tensor calculus. Gregorio Ricci-Curbastro died on 6 August 1925 in Bologna, Italy.
