Guillaume François Antoine Marquis de L’Hôpital was born 1661 in Paris, France. De L’Hôpital was a French mathematician who wrote the first textbook on calculus, which consisted of the lectures of his teacher Johann Bernoulli. Guillaume François Antoine Marquis de L’Hôpital died on 2 February 1704 in Paris, France.
