James Booth

James Booth (1806 - 1878)

James Booth was born on 25 August 1806 in Lavagh, County Leitrim, Ireland. James Booth was an Irish-born mathematician who was made a bishop and who exercised considerable influence in the development of mathematical education. James Booth died on 15 April 1878 in Stone, Buckinghamshire, England.
