John Edward Campbell (1862 - 1924)

John Edward Campbell was born on 27 May 1862 in Lisburn, Co Antrim, Ireland. Campbell is remembered for the Campbell-Baker-Hausdorff theorem which gives a formula for multiplication of exponentials in Lie algebras. John Edward Campbell died on 1 October 1924 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
