Rudolf Friedrich Alfred Clebsch was born on 19 January 1833 in Königsberg, East Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia). Alfred Clebsch was a German mathematician worked on algebraic geometry and was a co-founder of Mathematische Annalen. Rudolf Friedrich Alfred Clebsch died on 7 November 1872 in Göttingen, Germany.
